The Cordyceps Liquid Culture Syringe is composed of high-quality mushroom cultures, which in turn are grown with superior malt and yeast extracts. This method of cultivation results in liquid mycelium that is more effective than that produced with spores. The major advantage of using a liquid culture is that the mycelium spreads evenly through the substrate – such as a pot of grain – leading to faster colonization.

The syringe is designed for colonizing substrates only and is not suitable for direct consumption. Cordyceps, the mushroom grown using this technique, is known for its long use in the traditional medicine of countries such as China, Tibet, Japan and Korea. This mushroom has generated interest because of its supposed health benefits and has recently gained popularity in the West.

• 1x 20 ml liquid culture in a syringe
• 1x alcohol wipe
• 1x sterile needle

Use

• Add 1-2ml per 1L jar of sterilized grain.
• Shake the liquid culture well before use.

After use

• Store it again in the refrigerator.
• Dry the needle thoroughly a new alcohol wipe before replacing the protective cap to prevent rust.
• Optional: use a lighter to heat the needle and evaporate any remaining water. Then let it cool before replacing the cap.
• Put the liquid culture in a ziplock bag for extra protection and place it back in the refrigerator.

These instructions ensure that the liquid culture remains effective and usable for as long as possible.

What substrate do we grow on?

Grows best on grains such as unpolished rice or white rice, for example.
